Headed over Schofield Pass on May 7th. Still snowy of there of course, but melting out fast. The normal snow plug was in, just before you get to the lake. There were also some really good avalanche debris on the road just above “The Slabs” as seen in the pictures below. Its a low snow year but we’ll probably be dealing with snow on the road in these places at the start of the season. That will add a couple miles to the hike and is typically expected during the early part of the season. We’ll see how long it lasts, and post more updates as things are melting out.
